Jasta 18 DH4

I was trawling the web tonight for information on Jasta 18 colour schemes and came up with information which pertains to a DH4 which was shot or forced down by Jasta 18 pilot/s and then repaired and given the famous red/white livery. Can anyone confirm this?

Raben's D.H.4?

Hello Belis4rius:
I will need to confirm this, but I believe it is Ltn. August Raben's fourth victory on 30 August 1918 when he shot down and captured D.H.4 A'7708 of No.55 Squadron, D.H.4 (RAF) Lt. H.Deehler and Lt. A.S.Papsworth, both POW. The engagement took place south of Amanweiler.
Ltn. Wilhelm Kühne was killed in the action in a combat with another D.H.4 from No.55 Squadron.D.H.4 (RAF).
Blue skies Belis4rius,
Dan-San

DH4 55 Squadron

Hello Belis4rius,

it was a DH4 of 55 Squadron IAF, possibly A7708. On 30. August 1918, downed from Günther von Büren or from Staffelführer August Raben.

Is that a SPAD in the background? And did it get J.18 colors?

Excellent. Thank you very much for the swift and accurate replies.

I also found mention of a Spad Baldeagle, so that could indeed be the tail of one.
