Previous Breguet's Crash Files

The Rules :

1. All aircraft are of the 14-18 period (Must have left the ground during this period).
2. The score board, link and rules must be copied to the beginning of each thread, so that we know where we are. The score board and the correct answer to the challenge must also be placed at end of each thread.
3. All "ACES" with a score of 5.0 or higher must obey the 3.0 hour handicap. All others with a score of ZERO to 4.99 may start immediately, if not sooner! Offenders will be dealt with severely!
4. To be eligible for correct ID an answer must include at least one characteristic of the aircraft that helped in its identification.
5. And whom ever wins this challenge will have to provide a new one! If this can not be done for any reason, please PM Breguet and he will take over as host!
6. If an ace gives the correct answer too early, the challenge is over, he gets no point but has to post the next challenge. In lieu of the fact that the "novices" have in effect been "cheated" of their "exclusive" time that next post should be a relatively easy one. Anyone repeating the correct answer at the right time gets neither a point nor the right to post the next challenge.
7. The final arbitrator of all things to do with the "rules" is Breguet.

I normally stay away from UFO fotografs, but I believe that this one is not impossible to identify.
I will need positively absolute identification on this one and reserve the right to give "BONUS POINTS",
or part of for any additional information.

For your entertainment and educational purposes only I submit the following for your considerations:

"ON FLANDERS FIELDS
THE POPPIES GROW.
BETWEEN THE CROSSES
ROW ON ROW".

HAPPY HUNTING, FOKKERJ

HAPPY ARMISTICE DAY,
TO ALL VETERANS
OF ALL WARS.

Here's some fotografs to entertain yourself with while we wait.

This is the first attempt at the horizontal helicopter:

This one is for reeling in the really "BIG ONES' that almost got away!

HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ

So, anyway.......

I'll start.

Albatros W1 Floatplane.

Appears to be a Benz engine in that pile of junk.
I believe I see external side mounted radiators.
The rectangular forward access panel followed by two vertical louvers on the fuselage.
Tall, inverted center section truss.

Harleyfords "Marine Aircraft' also suggests that they have been known by the name of "Albatros K.351" seaplanes.

Other than that, nothing else matches.

Back to sleep......

....However....,

As I do not know my engines that well, those weird exhaust pipes have me a bit worried........

ARoth: I think you did OK on the engine--it's a Benz Bz.III and in spite of all the hard luck that its airframe suffered doesn't even have an exhaust stack tweaked as far as I can see. Ransom

Bonsoir à tous

Looking at the original aspect of the floats and the engine which seems
to be a Benz Bz III, this plane could be a Brandenburg W
-27 of these type were delivered to german navy for reconnaissance duty

Bruno

Bonjour Marek

If the mutism of our friend Jay is because the correct answer has nor be given
It should not be the Brandenburg W...... because I had already put this proposition yesterday(see my post)

Bonjour Froggy,

You are right. I did not read your answer carefully and was convinced that you choose Brandenburg W - 27. Nonsense

I will better erase my previous post to avoid next mix-up.

Regards

Marek

Bonjour Mssr. Bruno,

While I don't like to post "Winged Wreck Fotos" here that I am not absolutely sure of their identification,
I did post this one with the confidence that someone in our field of "Experts" would be able to
positively ID this one to our satisfaction.
I had hoped that this would not be difficult and make for an easy claim/Kill for somebody.

It is possible that the correct ID has been given already, but I am not convinced.... Show me the proof!
If my ID of this machine is correct it should prove to be not too difficult and also very interesting.
I hope that you will be patient with me and that someone will come forward and give absolute proof to correctly ID this.

Cheers, FOKKERJ

P.S. No one has correctly ID'd the additional fotografs that I submitted to entertain and confuse the Troops with.

NOTE: Out of All of the Aces with a score of 25 or higher:

"59.70 Flamingo ¤ ¤ Ace of Aces ¤
58.50 FOKKERJ Feuchtwanger ¤ ¤ Nr.I Wing Man ¤
40.60 Froggy ¤
33.15 Lodzermensch ¤
32.30 Rbailey ¤
31.15 RichardB ¤
27.00 Breguet ¤"

Only Bruno has posted an answer here!
