Imagination.

Hi Albatros1234:
There is no photographic evidence to support the yellow with rednose FoK.D.VII nor my guess. This is imagination, not a fact. The fact that the production version is wrong tends (to me at least) makes the whole thing wrong. If he was working from a photograph, he would have gotten the version right. In my studies of the Fok.D.VII, I have identified 26 production versions, in external physical differences in the airframe, axle wings, controls, cowlings, engines, radiators and propellers. I have all versions covered in 1/72 scale drawings. This does not include differences in finish or camouflage schemes.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

you are probably right, I hope you didnt misinterpret my speculation as a challenge to your knowledge. I am new to this field compared to you, and it could be that one wrong reference has spurred several wrong postings, they may all go back to the first wrong dvii. I intended no disrespect I just know what i've seen in a few different places and as you know you cant always believe what you see. and it made sense to me because his main color was always yellow with red highlights/cowls.thanks for your interjection.while I have you here I need some photos of the ev/dviii wing streakings green/brown with blue/violet underside. i have searched but i keep finding people talking about it but no good pictures of what the wing should look like when complete.i have an avis ev and would like to do it right for a change. my first was solid olive and my second was akin to dr.1 green streaking.i want to do the one labeled jasta 24.offz,-Stv. freidrich altemeier, the one with the 3 interlocking circles on the fuse if that matters.if you have a link to a good picture or two i could use as reference i would greatly appreciate it.

Altemier's E.V.

Hi Albatros1234:
I have only one photo of Off.Stv. friedrich Altemier's Fok.E.V it is the one published inthe D.VIII Datafile. As best as I can determine the upper surface of the slightly asymetric to the leftgreen brown green. and the same pattern on the bottom surface with blue violet blue. I have a three view drawing of this machine, the priceis $15 plus $3.50 postage and handling.
Blue skies Albatros1234,
