Perhaps a little bit of honesty from me up front - I haven't a clue lol!

But yes, I thought Austrian. The picture was simple captioned as 'a biplane', though those wings look like they are on a carrying frame, not as a pair, otherwise there wouldn't be crosses visible on both wings.

We're looking at a pair of lower starboard wings I think - too small to be from a monoplane, I'd guess they'd be no more than about 12' long. They are certainly spot on for the shape of the Aviatik lower wing, but I've never seen a pic of one with such pronounced 'feather' effect on the trailing edge?

Perhaps one of the geniuses (genii?) around will come along and enlighten us, probably with make, serial number, day pic was taken and the names of the guys carrying it lol!

after i posted i noticed the same thing about the crosses on both the same surface. the scalloped trailing edge put a question mark in my head to, but the cross placement also make me think austro and avaitik. thanks for the photo.
