Blueprints of various parts of airplanes

Hi Pilots,

I would like to decorate my room and a bar in a local airclub littlebit and after a consultation with a friend who can work with wood quite well, we decided to build parts of various vintage aircraft, mainly from the WW1. We have a drawing of rudder of SPAD VII, we will construct the skeleton, then we will try to cover it with canvas, we will make it a bit dirty, bring it to a local shooting range and make some holes in it. It must look absolutely real!

I would like to kindly ask you for some drawings of rudder or elevator with measure, it can be a photo of a drawing, I will draw 1:1 plan in my own.

I would highly appreciate your help and I will certainly inform you about my progress, it will be fun

I have a drawing for the SPAD VII rudder, drawing number 887bis. It's a bit faint, but you can read it if you zoom in. The drawing (a pdf file) is too large to attach here. Send me an e-mail, and I'll reply with the drawing.

I have the elevator drawing too.

How about a Fokker Dr.I Triplane rudder? I have the drawing with all the dimensions for the original rudder!

I would be glad for any type of plane, it can be anything from the WW1 era, or even older, so other types of SPADs, Fokker Dr.I or Albatros would be perfect. Actually, didn't the German aircraft have the skeleton of the tail surfaces made from metal? Maybe the early series of Albatroses (D.I, D.II early/late) had wooden construction of those parts?

OK, here's my drawing for the original Fokker Dr.I Triplane rudder. Click and zoom-in for details.

It was fabricated from welded mild-steel tubing.

I read on a post on the Aerodrome forum from 16 July 2006, that you planned to release "FOKKER Dr.I RESEARCH DRAWINGS".
Is this drawing a part of that set?
Have you made drawings for the whole aircraft, and is it possible to get hold of these plans?

Hello Dave,

Yes, my Fokker Dr.I rudder drawing (seen above) is just part of my complete set of drawings for the original Dr.I's airframe. Nothing has been modernized. These drawings have taken me over 45 years of research to complete, and they are right down to the 'nut-and-bolt' level of historic accuracy and completeness. Nothing is left to guess about in the Dr.I's original construction.

I'm still considering selling them commercially, but my real interest in their use would be to work with some 'high-end' builders like "The Vintage Aviator LTD" who have all the resources (like new 110HP Oberursal engines) to construct a truly accurate Dr.I. It would be the very first truly accurate Dr.I out there flying today...

Dear Sirs, I'm looking for rudders drawings too..so as for Vaclav, may I ask you to find materials for me too?
I made some rudders , especially of Regia Aeronautica warbirds, and fabric parts of some WW I planes as Spad VII and XIII, SVA 10 and so on, here a link where you can see some wip of my works..
