Question

If I'm reading it correctly the Pfalz D.XII serial number is 7517/18. My serial number list has the range 7500/18 to 7549/18 assigned to the Roland D.VIb (per the Albatros Datafile).

Can anyone help resolve this contradiction?

The NASM/EAA machine when it was restored to flying status by Buck Kennel in the 1930's. I seem to remember reading that this photo was taken at Hawthorne Airport in Southern California about 1938/39. There's even color home movies of it tootling around the LA from that era.
