Tim,

I think the updated version looks fantastic. Thanks, again, for sharing it.

Regards,

VIN????

*shrieks in rage*

I have half a mind to visit this mentioned thread and start padding. Golly, that would be childish, but so very satisfying. <_<

In all seriousness...

Lovely stuff, Tim. That kind of stuff takes me forever to do because it starts to drive me bananas after a very short while and I have to take it in sections or I go insane

uhhh... Melisa
Maybe I'm not reading this right.
But, do you do artwork?
I thought you were more of a performing arts kind of person

Tim
Good work on the prop
Yeah, it's a pain, but it does help the flow if your careful with that kind of thing.

One more observation for future reference.
Try to avoid placing the primary aircraft in the exact center of the image.
It tends to malke for a very static picture, which isn't good for a dogfight.
If an aircraft is off center it gives the impression of either coming or going.
just looks more like it's moving

All this talk about props got me to FINALY model one right.
What a PITA.
took most of Sunday, but I now have a viable and mapable prop

Good evening,

Alan,
Hmm I don't think I moved Joe's plane. ahhh HA! It must have been gremlins Seriously, your right once you see it, it always stands out. Then it's like a turd in the punch bowl. DOH!

Mark,
Your right about the subject in near center. I had thought about this, I try to work in thirds, but....... I was browsing "Flying Legends" , a WWII craft photo book and almost all the photos place the planes very close to center and the photos are outstanding but now that you mention it, I see how this does not play well for combat compositions.

Oh well render and learn.

Great news about your prop......those twisty, oddly angled pieces of geometry hell . I have had mediocre success with props. They for some reason are a real pain and once you think you get one, it wont map right My last attempt works from a far but up close its only so so. I had trouble getting the different cords to twist and map all sides at one time. Thats why I only show it from straight on views

Lastly , Thank you all for taking the time to check out my art
