those are lovely, but did your friend release the copyrights to you to take pictures of his paintings and post them on the internet?

there is a sign in my gallery (as in most galleries), asking people to please not take photos of the paintings, as we artists would like to be the ones to do so and to be able to have control over people printing from images on the internet without compensating the artist. as an artist, myself, i find it very upsetting when someone has taken a photo of one of my paintings and posted it on the internet without my express permission.
