Thanks Josef, for joining us.
I'd like to post these two covers.

A lot of the covers from Dan have been deleted. I'm not sure if these two have been posted before.

Hi,
Since I've run out of "legitimate" historical books to post, here are some pulp covers. They were colorful, if not necessarily accurate!
The first is by the prolific Eugene M. Frandzen, and is supposed to show an "Austrian" LVG C.VI strafing an Italian artillery piece mounted high in the Alps. It's being attacked by an Italian Macchi M 14:
Next is a Bristol Fighter by Rudolph Belarski, one of the most well-respected pulp artists:
Finally, a weird one from Frandzen. The 'story behind the ship on the cover", made-up by Frandzen, concerned a Junkers crew who shot down and wounded a Belgian pilot. They landed beside his plane and strapped the unconscious pilot to their lower wing. When they were flying him back to their field, he suddenly regained consciousness and pulled his pistol on them, shooting the observer and forcing the pilot to land in Allied territory. You know why they call it "pulp fiction":

Sorry about the deletions. The image host filecloud, which had been around for ages, ceased all operations on March 31. I did pull all the pictures from the site before it went down. I'm figuring out a place to put them all up again, that won't go down.
Jos, I hadn't posted those two.
I have some more pictures, but we're moving the library into our new addition, so everything's on hold for a bit.
Thanks for all the great covers. When I get mine back up I'll post where to find them.
Dan

Jos,
I'm not going anywhere.
Here's a couple to tide things over. Once again, I can't locate the book in the mess, but I did find a picture.
Can't quite read the artist's name, but this one is, I think, Don Greer:
This one, probably also Don Greer:
