Four old covers

I have no information about the artists, but I like the covers -- so, here they are.

Hi Germanophile-1 - great stuff!

The cover to "The Enemy Sky" was painted by the late, great Brian Knight, and was one of three covers he did for Peter Saxon's trilogy.

More covers

Thanks, Greg.

The books and magazine are from a long-ago exchange I had with the late John Garwood in New Zealand. I know there are more "Dogfight Dixon" magazines -- it's all a matter of finding them.

Dan!
Would you be so kind to tell us couple of words about one of the books?

DH : A history of de Havilland by C. Martin Sharp, Airlife, 1982.

I was not able to locate any description or review.
Thanks!
Yavor

Yavor,

This is a revised and expanded version of the author's 1960 book. It covers de Havilland's childhood very briefly, then describes the formation of the de Havilland company with de Havilland and Hearle. It goes on to cover the WWI and before period in 60 pages, the interwar years in 110, WWII in 50, and covers post-WWII for the next 160, including chapters on DH Canada, turbine and rocket engines, propellers, jet airliners, business jets, and the like.

There are a number of appendices, including company growth, WWII production, aircraft and engine types, notable flights and records, and further notes on the illustrations and pictures.
