It's hardly to say that all of these planes are WW-I vintages, but I hope that you like them!

Hi Dan,

Who says I wouldn't be interested! A "Choose Your Own Adventure" book about the Red Baron! Who knew? How cool!

Can you tell me who did the black & white illustrations inside the book?

You've got one amazing collection, my friend.

Greg

I agree - wholeheartedly!

These are great paintings! Where did they originally appear?

Do you have more?

Greg,

Took a look at the book, and lo and behold, I can credit both the cover painting and the interior black & white illustrations.

Cover is by Steve Fastner. Interior illustrations by George Pratt. Should have looked earlier, but I had the picture and not the book in front of me.

this one is for Greg VW

rummaging through a box in the garage i came across this- there were 3 articles in this issue- one on MvR, one on Frank Luke and one on the Ed Swearinger replica Fokker D VIII.
i just thought greg would like the cover , as it is from the Sunday Chicago Tribune Magazine, circa 1968, fairly expressive of the times.
CHEERS!
