Germanophile-1;
Oddly enough, my edition ( 59. bis 66.Tausend, Reutlingen, 1941, has no color artwork by Sapper inside, only black/white photos and O. Graf's portrait sketch of Boelcke done im Felde 14.10.16 as the frontispiece. Two of the photos are pure padding - one shows a Fokker D.VIII and the other is the classic line-up shot of Jasta 19 Fokker Tripes! Both Fokker-factory photos, for sure. I shall have to look for some other editions to buy so I can have those color paintings...

On the "lighter" side - how about a coloring book or two. If only the blanks inside were filled out as well, or I could do the colors like the cover artist ...
Tony Chikes
I still don't think I could color in the lines this well - illustrations by Peter Copeland

Hi Ricardo,
Boy, what great websites! Thanks for sharing them. Now I will have to waste even more of my precious spare time scouring those sites...

I'm off to the Over the Front Seminar in San Antonio in a few hours. Found one Kotula MAN cover not posted yet, and another with unknown artist. The planes are identified inside the front cover but not the artist. And I've forgotten what the planes are, now, too.

Wow, I thought for sure this had been posted, but I don't see it in the archive, so here goes
Mark Miller
unknown, and not quite as detailed as Mr. Miller's offering
and a woodcut-type design for The First Yale Unit
Mr. Miller also did the cover for Mike Westrop's 10 Squdron RNAS book, but I don't have a pic. It's nice, though. Perhaps someone will post it.

How about another late-war Kotula piece? Sopwith Dolphin from MAN October 1960
