How do I scan my images to the PC?

Im new to the world of modern technology,so I need help!!I would like to share my amateur art to everyone.

Two ways-- you either need to buy a scanner (which should come with all the necessary software for your computer), or you should just use your digital camera and save the photos as JPEGs which you can post. It's really quite simple, but the problem is making the scans small enough for posting on this site--- that takes some playing around with them. Doc

Digital pictures can be basically resized, cropped, rotated, brightness/contrast/gamma corrected, and jpeg quality altered, with many free picture viewers. I use the free FastStone Image Viewer for quick adjustments, and the not free Adobe PhotoShop Elements for more detailed editing. I'm sure there are a number of other free tools that will also work.

There are also free image hosting sites where you can upload your pictures, and then you can provide a link within a post. You can attach pictures directly to a post, but they are quite limited in size.
