Gentlemen - Great Thread. A few months back, myself and another 'drome member were discussing the prospects for a short article looking at all of the depictions of Barker's famous fight in E8102. I had seen Mr. Bradford's image before, but the rest of these are new to me.
Stephen Quick painted his version of the fight that appears in David Bashow's Knights of the Air. I'm away from home at the moment, and don't have access to a scanner. Here is a photo I took this morning to give you a sense of the piece.
In my eyes, the most vivid depiction of this famous fight remains Russell Smith's "Wrong Place, Wrong Time".

Robert T. Handville
Hi,
Just to keep this thread alive, here's a rendering (circa 1959) of Barker's fight by Robert T. Handville. This is from a series called the Historical Aviation Collection of Phillips Petroleum, and was published in Oughton's "The Aces". I already posted one image from this series in the Werner Voss thread.
Pretty dynamic, even if the correct references for the Snipe weren't quite available at the time.

Micheal Turner's rendition
This image is from a series of postcards depicting the hx of the RAF, wonderful images and are relatively inexpensive, there are a total of 189 cards in the series from WWI to present day aircraft. All are superb and i bleive they are available on Mr. Turner's website.
