Great work, I went to your web site and was very impressed, keep up the great work and thank you for posting the SPAD.
Yours Respectfully,

I recently purchased avions 166 essentially because of the beautiful artwork depicting aircraft of French aces of 1918. Quite a remarkable effort Thierry ... those illustrations are superb! I look forward to seeing more Great War types depicted by you in the future.
I've never seen this red spad before. What is story behind this scheme?
Is this a spad 13? I think you are missing a panel on the fuse..on port side I think... its just aft of the cockpit cut. Also the shell ejector slot dealy and the mesh screen covering the side vent..idk..maybe it was missing. The frame/metal behind the vent almost looks real.....
The aircraft was flown by Georges Madon of Spa 38. A photograph which appears in avions 166 to accompany the profile would indicate essential accuracy of the rendition. The same photograph and a profile of the aircraft may be found in SPAD XII/XIII Aces of World War 1, Osprey Aircraft Of The Aces 47 ... the book by Jon Guttman, the profile by Harry Dempsey.
