Another example of what less than two years war flying could do to you: This is Edward Mannock, the first picture is the one on his Royal Aero Club Certificate (i.e his pilot's licence), the second picture was taken just a few days before he was killed:



The transition is incredibly saddening to look at, on the first pic he could pass for 20, on the second one, he looks more like 40 and is obviously not a well man.
