Now- genuine NEW update stuff

OK- NOW there's actual, real, genuine new junk on that blog thing of mine. The new posting has the particulars about my recently posted DH4...yeah- prints and the original and stuff. Plus news about a semi-new piece. And some babble about what else I've been up to.
Head on over to the usual place:

RK’s Pfalzhood - Pfalz, Halberstadt, Nieuport, CAMEL!!!

Give it a look!

That was one of the last paintings I did before switching over to mostly drawing on computer. I still do a "master" by hand on paper, then scan that and finesse it in the insidious machine- still "hand drawn", just a different "pencil'. This makes sizing for the panel easier.
That Fokker drawing started small, then enlarged the old fashion way scaling up with a grid. This new larger drawing was taped up on the sliding glass doors at the back of the house. A real mess, with layers of paper overlayed for the various bits- engine, cowl panels, etc. That explains the need for glass- I could see what was underneath the "working" layer. I also tried to match up the lozenge as close as I could to the photos of this particular airplane. The day the big drawing came down was an extremely happy day around here!
