Hi Jock,
looks exquisite to me---pity that most of the time it will just be a blur though
Great work mate,
Cheers,
Dave.

Cheers,
You learn something new every day! I assumed it was just the shaft itself which connects to the prop that was the item that turned, not the entire engine!
Though still worth doing for shots on the ground but handy to know.

Yes, still valuable for any 'on ground' shots-----and I bet you had fun doing it-------it really is superb.

Been a while Things are calming down at work now and getting some spare time to spend on my 3D and this is where i'm at. I've made tweaks as suggested though still a little bit to go i think.

Jock-
You're doing a super job. Everything looks spot on to my eye.
Here are some shots that I took of the undercarriage of an original Camel at the USAF Museum in Dayton. The steel cable has been added to the 'bungee' suspension along with jack stands to prevent the kind of droop you've seen in other photos. I have more photos of this aircraft, particularly front cowl and underside of upper wing. Shout out if you need them.
Keep up the great work!

Thanks bud though your photos dont seem to be showing up.
I finished the Camel a little bit ago but never got round to posting up any finished images. This was a quick fight scene i put together although it still needs a fair bit of work so it a wip really.
Despite probably not doing a great deal of work on it in the near future, any photos would be very helpful as i'd probably like to revisit the plane at some point in the future so any references are helpful

The mysteries of the internet. I'm glad that you were able to pick them up at work. I hope they're useful to you. The profiles and most of the vintage photos just don't show that part of the undercarriage behind the wheel.
Happy modeling!
