Are you doing this "as she hangs in the Science Museum"? I notice you've put in the bolted brackets attaching the forward u/c struts to the lower longeron. Pretty sure these were originally welded on.

If you're not sick of my endless detail obsession, when seen from above, tail to the north, the belt-return chute would look more like a "J" rather than a backwards "L".

Excellent progress. Looking forward to the next update!
Thanks Josef =)

Yes, that's the Gnome from the DH-2...or is it? I think I have to bits of both a Gnome and a Oberursel Apparently the Gnome's main case was a single casting while the Oberursel was a 2 piece?? Lol..not sure now and the bolt pattern was different. So! I'm not sure yet how much I will do with that yet. I'll prolly just rotate the heads 20 degrees or so and call it good.

Everything aft of the fire wall is new, the oil pump and magneto, ect....this stuff I will move to the DH-2 model as they are close enough to work with.

Fok 210/16 is a major reference but I'm not looking to model it specifically. It has been altered as best as I can tell...you and everyone else noticed this too but I had to see for myself =) So using 210/16, the Datafile, the in Action book, DanSan's and your drawings...along with dozens of photos of E.III's and other Fokker variants, I have been able to piece together what you see so far.

Those arent bolts...Lol, I saw that too, it's actually parts of the tubing poking through the bracket. When I noticed it, I was like..."I dont remember doing that" lol.. it's already fixed =)

And more rivet counting please. It's a big help Like with the belt return chute. I'll round it off a bit to match a "J" shape.

Thanks again and stay tuned!

Quick update.....got bored working on the fuse and worked on some wings. The woodwork is in need of textures but overall the structure looks safe

I also fixed the belt return chute and got rid of the bracket on the main landing struts. Now it looks right, well close enough.

Ok, really I've just been avoiding the cockpit area. Guess I should get back to it.

As always...please...let the crits and comments fly

Till the future..there's always tomorrow

Tim,

I'm up late too, working on that darned gun.

It's looking good.

I can't tell by the renders you've posted, but did you incorporate the difference in spacing between the wing root and the first rib (40 cm) and the spacing between all remaining ribs (34 cm)?

Keep up the good work!
