Lloyd - Roman Schimdt, WIP

Started a new painting on canvas dimensions 81 x 60 cm.
It is Roman Schimdt, born in Varazdin,Croatia, who in his career recorded 6 air victoryes that half of the observer on the Russian front. So the idea that the paint fell of the chair in which he shot down along with the pilot Adolph Wiltisch and has reported that "Russian Sopwith" on 4.10.1917.g. I know of where the plane was a word I could make them in a duel, and the plane reportedly caught fire, it would be a good scene ... we'll leave for another occasion.
Thus I decided to ground show where in the foreground of three austrohungarian soldiers in the moment of relaxation and attracts a view of the sudden overflight probably something damaged airplane. Nasty when it shut brunch!!!

Sorry on my bad english!!!

Super subject... I like the ground spectators (we are observing the observers )... it conveys curiosity and fascination!

Am just a bit unclear what you mean by "the paint fell of the chair"... Can you explain?

I look forward to the final result! Good luck.
