a deadly circus performance

Hi all,

My first finished DrI piece:

higher res:
http://www.luijken.com/images/adeadl...erformance.jpg

I always said to myself I wouldn't do a piece with the red baron for a while, but did it anyway
But hey, at least he's not the centre of attention.

Please let me know what you think,

Wiek

Dear Kiwi123,

Absolutely outstanding!! Very atmospheric and striking. I admire the fact that you've placed the ubiquitous red Fokker Dr.I in the distance, and empasized some of the other notable (and colorful) aircraft in the "Circus".

Is the "deadly" part of your title a reference to the idea that such a takeoff could be dangerous for the participants in its own right?

Greg

Lloyd: glad you like it ! There are prints available on Aviation Arthouse | the online military & aviation art gallery

Greg: thank you very much ! It is good to see it is appreciated that I tried to not have the Red Baron as the obvious centre of attention.

The "deadly" part of the name is a reference to their performance being very deadly for the opposition as well as the danger of a takeoff like that. To be honest I was struggling to come up with a good name

Excellent!!!

Very unusal aspect with a n entire rear angle view. Low angle lighting for that extra drama. Vivid colors. Just terrific!

Pics like this always make me think about how I love early morning or late in the day with that low angle Sun for wonderful lighting effects.

Checked additional on your site. Wonderful things!

Thank you very much Rittmeister !

Well, here's the buildup of the image:
http://www.luijken.com/files/buildup.rar

The file is an executable within a rar file, don't worry about viruses (I hope :P )

It shows roughly the order of all the layers (skipped a few) as a slideshow.
