Profile discussions
Dear friends,
For years I am collecting data on airplanes used by aces. My ambition is to collect profiles of all aces that had more than 10 victories.
I am not the expert in any means! On the other hand I do think that my database is large enough and I feel that I am ready to exchange and perhaps publish some of my work.
The idea is to have a compilation of all existing data, combination of victory lists and profiles. The result would be ‘Aces Encyclopedia’.
I can also see that there are several such projects that we can see on the internet…
We all know that reconstruction of original colors and markings in many cases is dubious, that it the end what we see in publications is far from truth, but it does not prevent us to accept certain reconstructions as the best possible and to refer to them from previous literature.
I am about to ask you if you are willing to take a part and discuss ‘generic’ or ‘uncertain’ profiles created by enthusiasts? In all good will without any personal or professional competition?
Perhaps it deserves a special group in this forum?
I would be grateful to hear your comments on the matter…
Cheers!

Not sure if you asked a question or not but in most cases the illustrator them self are good researchers and work in-conjunction with a couple of the color and marking experts. Most of the main illustrators you will find in books, C&C and OTF.
I would suggest if you have some artwork them this would be the place to get it critiqued by the expert here.

If you like to get any opinion you have to direct on the particular profile and specific author.

Danke Fokkerj!
I will upload more profiles soon - but as I noted - what I am interested in are the 'generic ones' - material that have had not been published before or reconstructions that come from other sources than pictures...
Cheers!
