Long years ago I bought a print of a painting of Eduard Schleich's Albatros D.V where the Bavarian lion on the port side of the fuselage looks to the right, that means the lion looks not in flight direction.
Well, today I declare this artwork to myself as a sort of "misprint", like misprints of issued stamps or so. Because in the hole concept it's a great work in my opinion. And I like it in spite of this that I know (today) that the lion on the fuselage is wrong.
I think the clou is that I know that the lion is wrong and if I have guests which are interested in this print (which is hanging framed on the wall of one of my rooms) then I tell them that this is not correct.
Regards
Rainer
PS: BTW an artist would never ever paint the same picture again.....
