Hello,

Just discovered this new section.

I will post news about new titles in the mentioned series here.

Next one to come out is the

SPAD VII - In Detail

It discusses the San Diego Aerospace Museum´s Spad V.II. We are in the final release stages and will bring it out before Christmas.

This one will most probably be followed by the title

Wright 1902 Glider - In Detail

It will show the historically correct replica build by the guys around Michael Aten. It will include lots of detail shots and historical background information that was not published before.

More titles are sheduled but I will tell you more about these later.... B)

Enjoy!

Achim

We have now a final new layout for the cover of the Spad CD.

All that is left to do now is a little work on the German translation of the English text captions and then we will give a first CD to Michael for final Approval and to let him check the English text passages once again. As soon as he will give his O.K. we will have another lift off in this series!

Enjoy!

Yep, Achim is correct. I've started on an "In Detail" CD on the Wright 1902 glider. Having just built one for the San Diego Aerospace Museum along with two co-workers (Scott H. and Ben B.), I'm "up" on the subject and I think that it should turn out okay. We picked up a couple of details gleaned from almost microscopic examination of very high resolution photos from Wright State and the Library of Congress that we don't think have been replicated on other reproductions, and these will be explained in the text and shown in the photos (along, of course, with many other images of the original and our reproduction).

The CD will outline the development of the 1902 glider from the earlier Wright gliders of 1900 and 1901 and it will also explain the importance of the '02 as the world's first "real" airplane, in that it was the first to be based on accurate lift and drag data derived from the Wright's own wind tunnel in addition to being the first aircraft of any sort that was controllable in all three axes of flight.

Oh boy!

That thing is now long overdue!

I have now received Michael final aproval of the CD contents. All that is left now is to prepare the master Files for the CD and to put up the sales pages on the internet.

The CD itself can now already bee ordered. You can find it at our order page at

http://www.collectors-edition.de/f-t-s_buc...ung_english.htm.

It may at least take a week until the ordered pieces will go into delivery.

I am happy that we have another great piece in this collection available now.

Enjoy!

I have good news for our US costumers.

We are presently in negotiation with another distributor in the US who is going to take over the license for the production and distribution of all of our products in this US.

He will not only distribute these books on CD-Rom, but also our plans and drawings as well as the models and limited aviation art prints listed at http://www.collectors-edition.com

This will make things much easier and cheaper for Us costumers.

I will keep you informed and come up with his address as soon as the negotiations are through.

Take Care!

Achim

Achim,

Just received your and Volker's CD on the Air War in World War I. What a great contribution to the discipline of World War I historiography! Well done to you and Volker!

All the best,
Doc
