Hello Friends,

I know everybody for certain has his own story of how he became interested in early aviation.

I for one was for sure caught by a television movie series called "Die Grashüpfer" (the Grasshoppers), that was broadcast in the 70ies, when I was still little. (am I grown now )

It was a French/German coproduction and was so wunderfull that I want to see the whole series again.

Does anybody know where I could find a copy on VHS (Pal)?

Thanks for your help!

Achim

Hi There!

I just found out that the English title of the series was "Where the Sky begins". Any ideas where to find a copy of all of the episodes?

Thanks

Achim

Hello Achim!

Yes that´s right!. For me the TV series "Die Grashüpfer" was the first contacz with early aviation, too. I really liked it!
B)

I always wonder why they never repeated these series. On the other hand why do they always repeat the lousy stuff that can be described with GROTTENSCHLECHT or UNTERIRDISCH MIES. They repeated "Knight Rider", "Dallas" or "Denver Clan" up to four times since then. What are the guys doing with my GEZ-money?

Maybe it is time to ask ARTE. They will get a series of good quality for a low price.

Hello Volker,

I finally located the English version of the first 14 sequences. They put them together to form only 7 sequences, but nothing had been cut out.

Why should they repeat something that is not producing stupid and consuming citizens???

Best

Achim
