Just noticed that Discovery Wings has a segment on April '17 today; showing twice. Am not a-tall optimistic about the quality but will give it a fair trial before switching to Mail Call (or, perish forbid, going back to work on the Philippine Sea ms!)

Hi Barrett,

If I'm not mistaken, I think this is one of the four segments of the "Four Years of Thunder" series. If so, it's not too bad at all, as Walter Boyne and the H Hugh Wynne film collection at UTD were involved.

Unfortunely, Cox Cable here doesn't offer Disc Wings. But they charge like they do.

Actually, it has little to do with Bluidy April; it's a more generic treatment of the air war with some excellent footage and really peculiar text: the Gotha campaign was timed to get JG.I, etc., up and running!

I tuned in for that narrow bandwidth.
On that basis, I got what I came fer.

Tuned out the narrative, pretty much...

Never seen a Flying Staircase (a pal) - seeing a Handley Page get rolled out and unlimbered was a treat. . .

Always enjoy footage from Old Rhinebeck, which certainly 'splains the skidders outboard of the lowest wing on Dr's.
What a World Class Wobbler that bus was.
(hokey smokes, Rocky)

C+.

B- if you made popcorn.
A++ for footage.
