Hey all,

I just saw the latest Stella Artois advert on TV here in the UK, and it's based on WW1 aviation!

There's a dogfight, and a British pilot in his Camel gets shot down by a Fokker Eindekker (I know, I know - but hey, at least they're trying&#33, he crashes into a tree and tries to escape the dastardly Hun on foot.

Historical discrepancies abound, but it's good to see WW1 aviation being used in the public domain. Who knows, maybe it'll encourage someone to look a bit more into our field of interest.

Vince

Yeup,

First time I saw it I thought yahoo, at last a trailer for a convincing WW1 aerial epic to hit the big screen.

Alas it wasn't to be, but then I thought well; what about a Stella Artois afterall?

Living in hope for a Blue Max remake or something, someday.

Prost!!

The Stella adverts never fail to raise a chuckle, I always liked the one where a French Soldier's life was saved by his comrade and at the end of the war he takes him to his father's pub to get a drink!!

Shame the product tastes like ****

Haven't seen it yet (and probably won't here in Norway) but it sounds like it's a bit of a hoot.

No doubt it'll show back home in NZ so I'll have to ask my mates to keep an eye out for it.

I always liked the one with the chap who blames the priest for drinking the Stella which was meant for his sickly father And Mike you're right the beer's definitely nothing to write home about

Junior.

PS - Call me daft and in serious danger of being completely off topic but what's that Spitfire beer from (I think) Kent like?

And you're right, it's a bunch of arse but it's grin-worthy

Junior.
