Across the side, in huge letters, was the famous quote:

"I Am A Donut" with a picture of PT109.

It made more sense in those days.

Souvenirs are currently available of this Stately Bird.
And a yellow rudder exists in someone's basement to confirm that this aircraft was indeed another color.

It's veracity like this you look for.

LOL!

Isn't this allowed, under New Section, 243-4582099, semi-colon, a, in which it states (on a clear day):
"Thou shalt not count the number two, lest thou first count one, thence thou shall count, two, thence count three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be, three.

Five is Right Out."

Hi All;

Building that model would be very hard, but a model of a blimp would be much easier - and there are such good examples around to use for the plans!

And the funny thing about them is they often end up crashing in flames despite all the padding to keep the gas in!

I remain etc etc

Barker I bow to thine exhalted insight. But heed this watch out for the drainage left behind by the black hole. It always seems to be weeping.

Perhaps it just needs therapy... or a group hug.

Ah the same old, same old!

You don't really have a lot to say do you stevo?

Not much new anyway. We see this all the time....

Certainly nothing for anyone else to worry about anyway.

And whose doing the hugging?

Straining at a gnat... time to correct a long held misnomer!

Kennedy's famous phrase "Ich bin ein Berliner"... does not translate to "I am a donut" There is no such thing as a donut in Berlin... not the American sort, anyway! There are two meanings for the word "Berliner."

1. A citizen of Berlin.
2. A small round puff pastry that is a specialty in Berlin filled with a cherry or raspberry filling and the outside is covered in granulated sugar. Kind of like a larger version of a "donut hole" here, but bigger and not quite so round.

Grammatically Kennedy should have said "Ich bin Berliner" which would have meant "I am a Berliner" By adding the word "ein" he turned the meaning of his sympathetic statement into the classic "gaffe" where he said he was this type of pastry called a "Berliner".

How do you say "model airplane builder" in German? Ich bin Rottweiler flieger! Ja, I've come to change the sauerkraut in the gyroscope, Herr Barker!

I was thinking that it is just not worth being concerned about. So I just ignore the content and marvel at the scum it leaves in its wake. Much like a garbage scow on the Hudson. I guess every board has one or two.
