Latest Edition of Cross & Cockade International

The latest edition of C&CI has just arrived in the post and it looks an excellent and informative read. The content includes articles on the development of Anti-Aircraft Defence (part 1), L'Aeronautique a' Bacalan, The service career of Leslie Dunstan (27 & 5 Sqn, RFC), Memoirs of a Russian Aviator Georgii Leonidovich Sheremetevesky (part1) ,and a photo essay from David Lowsley-Williams features aircraft and other shots of 1 (Training) Wing AFC at Leighterton. All the articles are well illustrated with photographs from various sources. The edition is profusely illustrated with colour, the front cover features the work of Barry Weekley's depiction of Russian Ace Aleksandr Kosakov in action, rear, Barbara Huston has colour enhanced a contemporary drawing showing a 13pdr Mk1 AA gun in action. Colour side views of SPAD V11's. Three view and side views of Nieuport 16 from the 1st Fighter Squadron and 19th Aviation Section of the Russian forces by Richard Ansell. There is further colour work by Howard Jones and Vic Sheppard.
