World's Worst Aircraft by Jim Winchester
Hello:
This 2005 small format book from the UK gives basic info on about 120 aircraft that the author considers to be among the worst. He has established some categories, such as too late, poor concept, power problems, structural weakness, stability issues etc. to help with grouping and justification. Included in the book are about 15 FWW aircraft, mainly British. Among those covered are the P-B and Wight Quadruplanes, Sopwith LRTTr, A. W. F.K. 6, and AD Scout. For those who do not have the Bruce FIGHTERS or BRITISH AEROPLANES 1914 – 1918 this book might be of interest. It makes for a pleasant afternoon. Dave |
