The Book Has Been Shipped

I'm pleased to say that Scarecrow Press has finally shipped my book. It had been scheduled for release in late August 2006, but difficulties with the indexer delayed it three months. I hope you've received your copy by now if you've ordered one and that you're enjoying it.

It does have an index and photos, which the original 1939 edition did not have. The one thing it does not contain is the set of hand-drawn, colored foldout maps of the Western Front. Including even one of those would have made it prohibitively expensive. The map is important, however, so if you're buying the book (or even if you're not), PLEASE go to the website and download the pdf of the 1918 map. (Ignore the directive not to.) It will make my book a lot more useful to you. The website is www.scarecrowpress.com; type "martel" into the Quick Search.
