Hello
I have the original french edition and in my opinion it is really a great book.
It is so comprehensive that I understand why it's more clever to reprint/translate it rather than write a new book wich could only be inferior (except for spending years in the archives).
The book is a chronological study of operations (almost day to day), organization and tactics, there are also infos on german operations.
The style is serious and not old fashioned so one does not have the impression that this was written almost 70 years ago.
The french edition has 400+ pages of text (no pictures, a handful of useful maps) literally packed with infos you won't find anywhere else.
The original edition (in average condition for a 1939 paperback

) can be found (if you're patient and read french, of course) at around 25/30 euros (30/40$) so a reprint at 60$ is a good deal in my opinion. If I had not already got the book, I would certainly buy this edition, especially as the publisher says it has been updated.
I hope that they included an index. There's none in the first edition and things like "where did I read the description of the 90 mm bomb" can become annoying experience
