Aeroplane Monthly - October

The October issue of Aeroplane Monthly has a large feature on the Bristol Fighter including a double page centre spread of the three airworthy Brisfits flying in formation over the Bedfordshire countryside with the the Cardington Airship hangar in the background - a beautiful photo - interestingly the wings glistening in the bright summer sunshine look to be brown with a tinge of green! The fuselage colour (not reflecting the sun) looks dark brown.

It's a bloody good magazine anyway, but the October issue is unmissable.

Best,

Yes, thanks for that CFG.
The Biffs were flown as a three ship during our July Saturday evening show at Shuttleworth.

The finish on them is as brown as brown can be--trust me.
Also,
for those of you now unnoccupied after the end of the Old warden flying season.
I'd like to point out that 'The First Annual Shuttleworth Aviation Lecture', takes place on Saturday Nov 4th at Old Warden with our speaker being Mr Andy Sephton who is The Collection's chief pilot. The subject being:-
Flying Vintage Aircraft.

Anyone interested, please drop me a PM.
Thanks
S S-C.

I know it is, I've seen it, but just look at the photographs in the magazine. With the bright sun on the wings I can certainly see why PC10 has been stated to have a greenish tinge. I think the Shuttleworth machine's colour appears different when it's in the hangar to when it's wheeled outside as well.

(With apologies to the book and magazine section)
