William Barker VC, new edition

From The Aerodrome mailbag...
Quote:
Hello,

This is Wayne Ralph, author, in White Rock, BC Canada www.aceswarriorsandwingmen.com

Your members may want to know that a new, 10th anniversary edition of the Barker VC biography has just been published by John Wiley & Sons. It is available in the US, UK, and Canada, in bookstores and online. The title is: William Barker VC - The Life, Death & Legend of Canada's Most Decorated War Hero. The original hardcover and softcover editions of this biography sold a total of 13,000 worldwide. The new edition is oversized to match Aces, Warriors & Wingmen - Firsthand Accounts of Canada's Fighter Pilots in the Second World War, with many previously unpublished photos from the private collections of William Barker, William Hilborn, Gerald Birks, and Howard Alguire. The technological and historical aspects of the book are now in sidebars, tinted light brown - the photos are a mix of smaller and larger, many are 7 by 8 inches, and include informal photos of squadron life in Italy.

You can read more about the book at the www.wiley.com site, and also at www.amazon.ca, www.chapters.indigo.ca, and other online booksellers.

Kind regards,

Wayne Ralph, author, William Barker VC - The Life, Death & Legend of Canada's Most Decorated War Hero (Wiley & Sons Canada, Mississauga, 2007)
