Book and site on the Antoinettes of Léon Levavasseur
Recently there was a thread on Stephan King's beautiful and insightful book on Levavasseur with the title The passion that left the ground - the remarkable airplanes of Léon Levavasseur. The thread can be found here.
I was advised by the author that the URL to the accompanying internet site (with lots of rare and amazing pictures of the Antoinette and its master flier Hubert Latham) has changed to Hubert Latham Windkiller by Stephen H. King.
For those interested in the period and the subject (pre-1914 French aviation) and the precious Antoinette machines designed by Levavasseur the book is a must have. The internet site can be viewed as augmenting the book further, but can also be looked into seperately. Be sure to have a look
