OTF Vol. 23, No. 1

Over The Front, v.23, No.1 arrived yesterday. Several articles on Naval Aviation in the Great War, a "Rare Bird" feature on the Rumpler C.X, the first installment of the Memoirs of V. J. Burger (Escadrille C.46 and 90th Aero Squadron USAS), and a journal of Dawn Patrol Rendezvous 2007!

Renew now if you haven't

Don't miss an issue. Only $60 for bulk delivery within the USA gets you all four issues for 2008, and the first is already published.

I hope the announced labour strike with the German Postal Service will not come into effect in May

Congrats to all involved on another stunning issue. My favorite article is the one on observer Valentine Burger, with lots of rare photos of the big Caudron R.11s in unusual markings. The wonderful Mike O'Neal cover painting depicting Burger's Caudron in action is breathtaking - I thought for a second I was looking at a previously unknown Henri Farre painting.

The article by Jumpinjan on the Dawn Patrol Rendezvous is also great, with photos of Mike, Taz, Russ Smith and Fred Murrin. The piece by James A Pratt III on B-Boats vs. L-Planes in the Adriatic spotlights a little-known aspect of the war in the air.

Forum members are well represented in this issue! Don't miss it.

Both your and Bob Pearson's names were sent to the Membership Secretary to disperse copies.

I am truely flattered by the comparison to Farre.

Thanks Greg.
