The Search for THE STAND: Recreating the Final Flight of Lt. Frank Luke, Jr.
Shot entirely on location in France,
The Search for THE STAND joins the 2007 Frank Luke Discovery Expedition as it leaves Brussels, heads south toward the old Meuse-Argonne theater on the western front, and hikes deep into the forests where clues are unearthed that piece together what truly occurred in Luke's last moments.
The Search for THE STAND contains previously unseen footage inside battlefield ruins, views of the exact location of Luke’s death, unpublished war photographs containing vital evidence of his last mission, meticulous re-enactments of Luke's death scene and much more.
The animated sequences of the documentary were produced in cooperation with the makers of History Channel’s Dogfights series.
The Search for THE STAND is scheduled to appear on national television this fall.
