Bulk rate mail has its benefits and its downsides. We have the same issues. While it provides the most (in fact only) cost effective way to ship, it is subject to up to two week delivery times.

Jeff and Jim - My copy arrived last week and I enjoyed both of your articles (as well as those by Karen, Martha, Achim and the other 'drome members who contributed).

At the moment I'm trying to finish off a piece that details the work done to Knowlton's Fokker D.VII during its 1963 restoration by the RCAF - for inclusion in No. 201.

Cheers

Thanks Edward,

It's great to see an expanded forum for the people we have come to know through this one!

Although my copy of #199 STILL has not arrived yet, I have been looking at Vet's copy of the issue.

I notice on page 87,88 & 89 there are drawings of the DVII. I believe these are Rousseau drawings. I have a couple of these drawings, but not the one shown.
In these drawings, the bottom wing at the outward most rib ... there is no doubler on the last 1/3 of the #11 rib. How accurate is that drawing? Is that one of the many variations of a production aircraft?

They're definitely in the system... mine arrived today, 10-16-08.

Thanks to the editor and contributors. It's a thick, rich journal. Packed with things.
