Can't tell you how happy I am to hear the news. Please keep us informed when No.200 and No.201 will hit the mailboxes. There is no doubt in my mind that Leo's Legacy will live on and thrive in the years to come. Many thanks to the members of the board for having survived an extraordinarily tough year. Hopefully the membership, old timers and newcomers like, will now begin to submit material to WW1 Aero. No one individual does the job alone. It takes a team. Best regards, agblume

Color??

Mr.Gray:
Are you doing color? If so I could do an atricle on th Fok.E.V with color plates showing the streaked camouflage. It would require color however.
I got the message from Augie.

Dan-San

Hi Dan-San, Glad to see your message offering to assist with an article on the Fokker E.V with color plates. I'm sure that would be of real interest to the readers of WW1 Aero. I'll make sure your question about the use of color is passed along to Carroll Gray and refer him to your post so you can make it happen.. I've seen a number of your excellent color plates of German aircraft and highly recommend them to modelers. Best regards, agblume

Color!

Hi, Dan-San,

Yes, #199 has a 15 pg color section, plus color profiles on the inside and back covers. Working with our printer, we found a way to provide a color "signature" at relatively little cost.

Be delighted to run an article by you on the Fok.E.V with color, that would be terrific.

Please get in touch via my e-mail cfgray@mac.com

I would like to slate it for Issue #201, if you could have it to us this month - thanks for your generous offer.

Also, WinterHawke and Maxim08, thanks for your enthusiasm, hope you enjoy it.

Mr. Gray,
thank you for the update! We never doubted you would get it done. Can only imagine what a challenge it is to take on all that Mr. Updyke did for so long. Hopefully there was a bit of an appreticeship for you

Dan-san, loooking forward to seeing your piece. Over the years have been very impressed with your contributions to the WW-I community, and those of us that were in Red Baron 3D, as well as OFF. I can only speak as an unofficial party of one, but your attention to detail is impecable in my book.

Thumbs up super job on #199 ww1 aero!

i just received my ww1 aero #199 in the mail today. man, does it look great!!! kudos to carroll gray and tom polapink. glad you took the extra time necessary to get it looking so good! wow! really impressive quality thick stock cover, hard binding, layout format, titles and pic layouts, photos and articles throughout. and if the rest of the magazine didn't look so good, i'd be tempted to cut out mike o' niel's gorgeous color paintings from the several pages of color section and frame them - very, very nice! i couldn't be more pleased! congratulations on a job well done!

~martha esch (also proud to be one of the article authors )

p.s. also dig the great cover - great composition of the bristol photo and the ronny bar glossy color profiles on the inside front and back covers are elegant - high class!
