Though not a WW1 book, it is an aircraft book anyway: "Spitfire IX&XVI Engineered" by Paul Monforton (
Spitfire drawings). The large and heavy book with 432 pages is extremely detailed. Basically every surface inch is illustrated and there are numerous detailed and dimensioned drawings (plus hundreds of colour photos) from undercarriage leg to flaps and cowling panels.
The only downside is the price of US$139.50
