WWI Aero update?

Can any of the new board members of WWI Aero give us an update, please? I have tried, in vain, to log on to the WWI Aero forum, without success. I see that others have also been unable to log on. So I'm hoping we can have some sort of fresh information and questions answered, here on this forum.

Joe,
Just logged off of aeroforum.org with no problems except a lack of current information on the site.
I was expecting an update on the status of the missing issues from my 2008 subscription. There is little happening to encourage me to re-subscribe for 2009.
By the way Joe, do you have a waterpump greaser for sale?
Regards,
John

Thanks for the feedback, John;
I AM able to access the WWI Aero forum and "read only".. not post or see photos or attachments on the threads. But log-in attempts say they do not recognize me...So I cannot post any questions...I know I have seen others mention the same problem and I think Tom said there was still some kind of glitch for some of those trying to actually log in.
I have a chance to trade some WWII German archival material for some WWI German/Austrian cockpit items. Will let you know if a water pump greaser is available, as soon as I know for sure..
Merry Christmas!

I do not have problems with logging on the WW1 Aero site, I can even post something when I want so. I will bring up the state of WW1 Aero #200 (a jubilee number) in that site.

Cheers

Kees

I missed the communication of CF Gray about issue 200 given in the Aeroforum of WW1 Aero in the Comments & Concerns today -

For your information this was communicated by Mr. Gray - the editor of WW1 Aero - who obviously is doing a good job under difficult circumstances. WW1 Aero needs some supporters to get back on its former tighter schedules. Realize that the magazine has been upgraded after the leave of Mr. Opdycke with for instance computer setting, better paper, new layouts, far better print quality etc. Keep this unique enthousiast magazine alive with your support.

Quote:
The WW1 AERO Commemorative Issue #200 is being cleaned up to send to the printer. We composed Issue #200 ourselves, meaning there was additional work for us to do, but resulting in a reduced cost and a quicker turnaround time at the printer.

I find myself once again asking for patience and apologizing, but it will be printed and will be mailed and you will receive it.

Issue #201 has a unique cover of an historical action over the Eastern Front duting the Great War, thanks to August Blume for funding that and offering the work for publication.

Installment #19 of the Gallaudet series will run in #201, while #202 will be a Pioneer Era issue.

This has been a difficult year and a diffcult process and thank you to all who have extended that but more patience and understanding.

I'll be posting updates regularly from now on, at least once a week, to keep all informed of our progress and apologize for my lack of communication while I have been feverishly working to finish #200 and #201 and to plan #202.

Best Wishes to all for the Holidays.

cfgray
Cheers

Kees

Question WWI Aero

Not sure if this the correct area to make this post or if I should even bring it up again, so tell me to "stuff it" if I am out of place.

Has anyone at all heard any new squeaks or peeps regarding WWI Aero since our last go-around?

Well, if it's any help, Carroll Gray today personally registered me at the Forum, when I was blocked by the autopilot, so WWI Aero is still a going concern.
Cheers,
shredward

Aparently I'm not allowed there. After a dozen attempts to get registered over the better part of the last year, and asking for help with the matter, I'm still on the outside of the fishbowl. Maybe someday I'll be good enough to come inside and not just peek in the window.
