Imrie's Pictorial History of the German Army Air Service 1914-18

Just wondering what you guys think of that book. It was published around 1971 and used copies are available. From the title and description it sounds worth buying. How do you guys rate it?

author: Alex Imrie
title: Pictorial History of the German Army Air Service 1914-'18

You cannot gone wrong with an Alex Imrie title. Buys today only increase in value tomorrow. Love those 1970's prices today. Excellent book. FM

An excellent work, Herr Kanone. I leaf through my copy on occasion just for fun. Many excellent photographs of the early period, and the captions are larded with significant information. The short organizational history included is also very useful.

I love this book. I got my copy in the early seventies for $1 in a discount bin, and it has been in my collection ever since.

Mine is special

My copy is very special.

It is a copy that A Imrie personally gave to a fellow air historian back when the book first came out. It has a handwritten dedication, and it is signed by him. I bought the book in 2002. The only drawback is that it has a terrible cigarette stench. I guess the fellow historian smoked a lot!

Excellent book. I am glad that you ordered a copy. It is a must have in anyone's library.........
