Cross & Cockade 39/4 2008

Gentlmen,

I am interested in an article in Cross & Cockade 39/4 2008, "The Riddle Behind DH4 A2140" by Stewart K. Taylor. I am unable to locate a back issue online at C&C or through ebay etc. Does anyone have a copy that they are willing to sell, or even a scan of the just the article itself would be fantastic.

I have been researching the pilot of this aircraft Mr. R.A. Logan for a few years now. I have a maternity tunic in my collection that is attributed to him and also a circa 1920's flight suit that is actually named to Mr. Logan. (alas the maternity had it's tailors label removed at some point so it may never be 100% sure to put it to him) Both items came from the same source on the east coast of Canada that I have no reason to doubt, but the challenge I have with the maternity is that it bears the correct rank but displays a single observers wing. I know That Mr. Logan obtained his private pilots license in September 1915 in Canada and then found his way overseas and trained in the RFC earning his wings in December 1915... I can only assume until I uncover more detail that he would have worn an observers brevet while he was training in the UK circa Sept. - Dec. 1915.

Any how... I guess more questions for another day but in the meantime I would enjoy reading the C&C article and find what further info it may hold for me.

Thank you ever so much, what a great read!

There is one photo in the article from the Royal Aero Club that appears to show Logan in the tunic I have in my collection. I am excited for more research.
