Jasta 10

Is anyone aware of a book with fairly extensive coverage of Jasta 10 (unit history, general reference, etc), particularly in the last year of the conflict? Thanks..........................John

Hi Olson:

I haven't heard of one just on J10. I think you have to use a lot of different sources to fill in the gaps of what your asking for.

Here one, Rick Duiven's research on each Jasta is available from Stephen Lawson's website. It cover the whole history on known personnel, aerodrome locations and victories of each Jasta including J10.

Greg Van Wyngarden's book " Richthofen's Circus - Jagdgeschwader Nr 1" This covers JG I (J4, J6, J10 and J11). Theres some good things in here too.

This should get you started...I'm sure others will step in with more.

Hi There,

One of our very own members here, tcrean7828, is working on a book on Werner Voss and the pilots of Jasta 10 - if I'm not mistaken.

Greg

Talking

Mates,
Very shortly I'd say, just tidying up some things and were off to the presses for the print out.

Believe me I am just as ancious as you are to see this work in print, a group of folks keep me on time and schedule with their requests, but the publishers also have their own rules to play by, and so I follow some of their suggestions.

On-Line press will be doing the publishing, and as soon as I get the God blessing from them, the sooner that I let out the word.

Thanks for your interest - it is going to be interesting to all.

P.S. The title is: Leutnant der Reserve Werner Voss and the Pilots of Jasta 10. The Jasta 10 portion of the book tries to encompase from birth to demise - including all of the pilots, something about them that were a part of the unit, what happened to them after WW1 and sometime (if I could find out) were they were buried. tc

I too will be looking forward to this release, I recently found a potential relitive who was a Pilot in Jasta 10, Martin Rademacher, found out that on 29May 1918 Ltn.dR Rademacher was taken POW in an Albatros D.Va. after He landed at a French Airfield by mistake.
Cheers,
Jonathan
