I'm with JFM 'n Ginger...Anything with Peter Hart's name on it is an excellent read.

But I also urge you to make every effort to obtain a copy of the masterpiece of research that is The Sky Their Battlefield.

Although I knew I ought to have it in my collection, I put off buying it for years, thinking (a bit like yourself) it was just an expensive list of names and dates...Well it is, but it's sooooo much more besides.

The word "Awesome" tends to be over-used these days, but it's a suitable one for describing TSTB and Trevor Henshaw's effort in putting it together.

Do yourself a massive favour and buy it as soon as you can!

Yep, I recommend Ralph Barkers "The Royal Flying Corps in WW1". Very readable history from Aug 14 to April 18, of the RFC.
