knights of the air by Ltn Bennett Molter
Does anyone know of this book, how reliable is the stories in the book? I am specifically interested in a story of the French ace  Jean Navarre issuing a challenge to Oswald Boelcke during the battle of Verdun- and supposedly the story had appeared in numerous French newspapers? ANyone out there who can shed some light on the subject, please let me know.thanks, jim |

I've heard several people say "never trust a book with the title Knights of the Air."
 I have at least four books of the title, am not at my database, and don't remember if I have that one. Dan |

WHAT!?!
 A book Dan might not have? I don't believe it! Even though Bennet Arthur Molter was a veteran of Escadrille N.102, that doesn't necessarily give the book the stamp of literal truth and authenticity. Remember, he didn't witness the story of Navarre first-hand, he heard it second-hand. As I said, the book can be read on Google books. Good luck, Jastaflieger. Greg
