Overthefront.com

Is something up with the League of WWI Aviation Historians website? I've tried clicking on it the past couple days and all I see is a pretty girl smiling back at me. Not that that's a problem, but it's just sort of unexpected. Did the website change and I am just unaware of it?

I just checked and found this problem too. Management has been notified. Looks like somebody stole the domain.

Thumbs up

I've received a reply that this is just a glitch that is being repaired and the website will be back online soon.

Sounds good. Maybe they can keep the picture of the pretty girl though. There is no such thing as too many pictures of pretty girls.

What is going on?

I am wondering if they have closed down. I joined them on the 16th September, paid my subscription, received an email receipt and have heard nothing else, no magazines have arrived, no reply to my email and now no website. Im starting to think my money has gone for nothing. The site is still "down" Perhaps Dan can give some answers as to when it will be up again and what is really happening.

pfam,

Don't worry everything is fine. Tonight is the check-in in San Antonio Texas for the league seminar that starts Friday through Sunday. I would suspect that a lot of the OTF officers are at the seminar so they might not have a chance to response here until next week.

By the way welcome to the League. There are some members here that contribute to OTF and work on the issues.

Dan Polglaze the Membership Secretary for OTF will take care of you. It will take a little while to get the this years back issues but you will get volume four on time. Just be a little patient.

We do mention sometimes in the magazine section when the next volume gets sent out or when that start showing up in the mail box.

Not sure why it's taking them this long for the website but it was just re-designed by a web design firm so maybe that has something to do with it.

Lloyd...

All,

Our previous webmaster was the one who had the registration for the domain, and we didn't discover the domain registration was due to expire until the day it did expire. We immediately renewed, but the links got broken. The Board was all traveling to our seminar in San Antonio, so this happened at the exact wrong time. We have since registered overthefront.org and .net as well as renewed the .com. As soon as we get the correct information to get the site back up, we will get it back up. Temporarily, it is up at World War I Aviation Magazine - Over the Front except for the ordering function which is still broken.

As for the back issues ordered in September, I have a btach shipment ready to go to the fulfillment house, which will go out tomorrow when I am back from San Antonio. They usually ship within a few days of placing the order.

Thanks to all for a great seminar. Those of you who couldn't make it missed a great two days.

Dan
