Have just went through the extract you've placed on your site , and might tell you that I'm more than delighted to see so much material (especially photos and documents) gathered in one place!
This is the material I'm looking for the most, and I'll buy it in the first instance
The only downside, from my point of view, are drawings... Seem to me they "look like drawings", missing some reality... Hope you know what I mean...
Hatts down, Mr. Ciglić!

Hello Profa
Ihaven't noticed you name on the forum before. It's nice to see that the Boris's new book has brought more Serb forumites out of the "woodwork" (i.e. outinto the open) so to speak!

Still working on a pan-Balkan forum meeting. Maybe we should hold it in Serbia?

Hello, Boris!

The book is very well done. It provides extensive coverage of the subject of early aviation in Serbia. It is part of human nature to want always something more and there is a lot to be researched further. Chapters covering the Balkan wars of 1912-1913 are quite brief. A bit more information about aviation strength and the disposition of the opposing forces on the Balkan theater during the Great War can be added too. RFC and RAF operations are just mentioned. Nevertheless, the book presents the best all over coverage of aerial warfare on the Balkans I know.
The book is very well illustrated with period pictures. Captions were good too. English language readers need to go back and forth through the body of the book, because pictures follow the story in Serbian language part but English language text is on the back.
There are colour illustrations of several aeroplanes but I am in no position to comment on their quality. The pictures got most of my attention
There are couple of typos and translation errors in the English text but, obviously, this is a generic problem nowadays and I know much worst examples published in English speaking countries.
My wish is to have an opportunity to read books about Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish and Romanian aviation in the early part of 20th century, as good as this one.

Thank you, Boris!
Yavor

P.S. crankcase and all the forumites from the Balkans.
In Serbia? Why not? The distance is not too much a problem now

This looks really good, and thank you for giving us an English translation. My only problem is that I find PayPal a bit of a nightmare. I wish your publisher would accept Visa!

By the way, Boris does your book have details of the aerial victories score by Tomic and his fellow pilots?

regards

Keith

Thank you, Yavor

Well Keith, they wish it too but it is more than complicated here in Serbia... Even this Paypal arrangement is a "family tie".

All confirmed claims (and more than 90% of the unconfirmed ones - one or two might be missing) scored by Serbian and French pilots of the Aeronautique de l'Armee Serbe are included in the book, as are those of the Serbian pilots on the Western Front. As for Tomić, his single confirmed claim in Macedonia is elaborated in detail and I think it is in the part of the book which can be downloaded at

www.wingsofserbia.com

The remaining two claims, scored in the West in August 1918, could not be found in known French records and these were almost certainly unconfirmed.

Cheers,
Boris

Saw excerpts from your book online last night. Excellent! You really have opened up this subject - Augie would have been delighted with it!

As for PayPal... this is a real problem but I am going to sort something out. I don't want to miss out on the chance of getting a copy.

regards

Keith

Received the book just before the holiday weekend. Had just enough time to page through it quickly. Looking forward to a detailed look. Nice work, Boris.

Dear Boris,

Thank you for an excellent book on a subject that was entirely new to me. Most interesting, and a magnificent book!
