Which book?

A few years ago I nearly bought a book on WW1 airmen but regrettably decided not to. I'm now after a copy but for the life of me can't think what it was called. I tried googling with no luck. As far as I can recall it was hard back and had loads of photos of the airmen/ground crews and their uniforms etc. It did not have any colour drawings. It definatley concentrated on the men rather than the machines.
Has anyone got any ideas?

(ps. I did post this on another forum a year or so ago but the archive has wiped it)

More info needed. Did it include all countries, if not, which ones? What kind of info, besides photos was included? Do you recall which country it was published in?

I'm pretty sure that it was mainly, if not all UK/Allies. It was called something similar to "The Airmen of WW1" but Iv'e googled that with no luck.

Could it be "the RFC/RNAS Handbook" by Peter Cooksley, or maybe "OBSERVERS AND NAVIGATORS" by C.G.Jefford?

These are more about crew than planes.Just a thought.

Hello Aeordynamik. Would it be Chaz Bowyer's Airmen of World War 1, Men of the British and Empire air forces in old photographs, ISBN 0-88254-356-3, published by Arms and Armour Press in Great Britain and Hippocrene Books in U.S.A. in 1975? Best regards, Dave.
Can you feel the warrior spirits gathering around us?
They have waited for us, my friend, they have waited for the coming
together of warriors from different times and different armies.
They wait to hear our words and laughter, to see our tears, and
feel our pain. It is all that remains for them . . . . . . .
to be remembered.
