My Gallery
Copyright.

Gentlemen:
The Real Mauve has been closed. There fore I had no opportunity to respond to bob pearson's response.
1. I have NO letters in my files from bob pearson or robert pearson.
2. I have NOT ever, to my knowledge, received an order from bob or robert pearson. Had I, I most likely would have filled it! I believe those draw
3. Tom Harrison purchased the the Vzfw Emil Shäpe Rol.D.VIa drawing from me. I thought he had intended to use it to illustrate the model in the kit. The letter to me from Tom Harrison was asking me for permission to use pearson's art work on the on the box for his Rol.D.VIa kit. The communcation was from Tom to me and me to Tom. It did not authorize pearson the to copy my work verbatim, (a direct copy) for financial gain. I had no direct communication with pearson.
4. Original art work is protected by the copyright laws. That drawing is copyrighted under U.S.copyright law.
5. Pearson infringed when he copied the Vzfw. Emil Shäpe's Rol.D.VIa drawing.
6. All the color work on my drawings are with water colors.
7. Those are the facts, check with Tom if you like.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Let it drop . . . .

I am sorry to once again bring this forth to the forum, but I have spent the last four days with my insides churning due to DSA'a comments in the Real Mauve thread. . . however In the last couple of hours I have had bad family news that puts this all into perspective. .. the death of a family member makes all of this so petty and reflects very badly on all who take part.

I will close with the comment that both Dan and I have presented our side of events - and while I know my side is truthful, he also believes his to be as well - and we can now leave it to the rest of you to make up your own mind as to the relative merits of each.

I apologize to Dan for saying his work was pencil crayon instead of watercolour, but I have no regrets as to anything else I have done in the field of WWI aviation illustration.

Regards,
Bob Pearson
